The "at any time you can trade 1 fruit for 1 food" rule is a bit broken! Remember that food is used to pay Ocupation cards so this will break a bit the gameplay.

Why does that break anything. You can also trade grain or vegetables 1:1 for food at any time. You can cook you animals for food at any time.

As Sislar said, you can trade grain and veggies for food 1:1. Note that if you're trading grain and vegetables directly for 1 food, there's a huge chance you may not win the game devil

Until the Ñ deck is released, fruit serves two purposes: planting more trees to grow more fruit; and trading it for food.

EDIT: Errata for the english version:
Third paragraph, change "Whenever you sow, you may any quantity of fruit" to "Whenever you sow, you may plant any quantity of fruit". [Thanks to Sislar]

Fruit planting mechanism redux:
Whenever you sow, you may plant any quantity of fruit. For each fruit:
1) if you haven't got any trees or planted fruit, you must plant one fruit in any unused space.
2) if you have at least 1 incomplete orchard (an space with only 1 tree or planted fruit) then you must plant one fruit in that orchard. Orchards max out at 2 trees and/or planted fruit.
3) if all your orchards are full, you must plant in a space adjacent to one orchard.

Working on the new version:
· You can't plant fruit when sowing.
· Add a "Plant fruits and/or Pay 1 food for 1 building resource" action space.
· At any time, you may trade 2 fruit for 1 food (was 1 fruit for 1 food).

Hi!
Printed the Fruit board yesterday, plan to play it during the weekend.
A little note: it says on the board (and in the rules TXT file) that you can change fruit to food 1:1, while in a comment here you say it should be 2:1. Intuitively I think 2:1 is better, as you can get 4 fruits out of one orchard.
Great work with putting the board together!

Toby
