This PDF contains the 29 official contest entries for the "Traditional Card Games For Two Players" design contest for Summer 2009. Voting for this contest will begin on Aug. 15, 2009. (see, http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/421774)
Thanks for all the work to organize the contest (and the typesetting of these rules). Minor erratum: in the rules for Modulation, p.26 (which I designed) there is a slightly misleading underline. When 2 is the trump value, "every other" (as in the evens, alternating with the odds) card is trump, rather than "every other" (as in all cards that are not 2s) card.

Perhaps. I interpret those two choices for underlining opposite to how you've done. Regardless, your comment here may help others who may interpret them as you do.
Minor erratum: Fireplace Poker, Strategy Tips, Point 2 says "..to form so high a piece of coal that it will stay unpoked for the rest of the _game_." It should read "...to form so high a piece of coal that it will stay unpoked for the rest of the _heat_."
Since all cards are shuffled between heats, the pieces of coal do not survive from one heat to another.

You may want to edit your entry in the contest thread to reflect that. Currently, it still says
