Fall of Rome House Rules.rtf (3.52 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
The Legions are too strong in this game. Scenarios 1-4 can be easily won with no serious risk of rebellions because the player is not forced to stack many Legions to win battles. Also, it's too easy to conquer areas through Tribute. I suggest to try a game with the attached modified table and some rules changes.
Also, the revolts are too difficult to sedate with all those 1/2 DE results. In my opinion the game needs an "exchange" result as in the 1st edition but it's not possible to include it in the 2nd Ed. CRT.
Therefore, I have increased the CA results. The result is similar to an "exchange".

Hi Flavio,
I'm interested in seeing your house rules. But did you post the right file here? This seems to be S&T 181 Errata. This is what I see as the contents of the file:

FALL OF ROME (S&T 181) Errata

(5.2 (2)) (Addition): exception.: if the province is Persia, Germania, Pictum and Scythia place the indicated number of Non-Roman Militia strength points.

(8.0) (Change):

(17.3) (Delete)

(17.4) (Clarification): Replacements are placed on the map in the Roman Expenditure Phase.

(18.1) (Change): targets for Tribute may only be Persians and Barbarians.

(23.3) (Delete)

Hi Pete,
It is the right file but wrongly named on top.
It should be:

FALL OF ROME (S&T 181) House Rules

or

FALL OF ROME (S&T 181) Unofficial Errata
