Thanks, Matt -- so far the scenario has turned out to be "a Grade-A stinker" for the Brits. I haven't won with them yet, but they've come awfully, awfully close (within one hex the last two games). It's a tough one, but it's fun.
I'm sure if everything goes their way, though -- dice and cards -- they may roll over the Germans.
I am very impressed! I especially like the look of your scenario on the Merville Battery. As it happens, I'm currently reading Stephen Ambrose's "Pegasus Bridge," and I'm playing ASL's "Pegasus Bridge" campaign game, so the British airborne landings on D-Day are certainly on my mind! I'd like to try your scenario -- which means I need to buy the Normandy expansion. I was looking for an excuse to do so, and now I have one!
Anyway, what a great-looking fanzine. Congratulations!
That's a great book, Hugo. Although, I have to be honest, I don't remember much of the first half -- I skimmed through it to get to the second half, after the paras actually landed in Normandy.
I'll twist your arm a little more, and encourage you to buy Normandy -- it's a great expansion!
I am patiently...well not really, waiting for the arrival of TOI at my door. I am slow to get into this , but am chomping at the bit and after reading this, it makes me more anxious for the games arrival, in a few days, so i can get started on this great game and onto the Normandy phase. Thanks for posting this issue. Well done!!!!
