ZotR-PocketMap.pdf (1.86 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
A half-sized low-graphics version of the Zulus on the Ramparts map. Can be printed out on 8.5x11 paper and folded up to fit in a standard-size card deck along with all of the other game components, for extra portability. Look here for a picture of the map in action.
Great job Mya. At the rate I'm playing the game I'll wear out the original map, and it will be good to have this as a backup. I'm thinking of printing and laminating it.
Mya, this morning I printed out this file. Amazing how simple it seems to put nearly all the info on half the size of the original map! Thank you for sharing the file.
You're more than welcome! It was fun trying to cram all that information on there. Glad you're getting some use out of it. I just love having a good solo game I can stick in my back pocket.
Mya, I want to play through a game of ZotR and produce an AAR on my blog site, I wondered if I could use the image of the pocket map as part of my description of whats going on?
I'll present just enough of the play through to give folks a taste of how the game plays out, but I don't want to use the original board setup, or put any complete card images up.
I'll obviously give you every credit for your work, just wanted to make sure you'd be happy with me using your image on my blog.
Here's my attempt at a full After Action Report on a game of Zulus on the Ramparts! I'll be posting it in parts with many turns per post. I wanted to visually depict the whole game, without giving away too much of the game's content.
Hopefully I can convey the tension and fevered decision making involved as the Zulu ibutho's constrict around the Drift. Thanks to Mya (EmeraldYam) and everhat (Everett Hathaway) for providing the pocket map and inspiration for my attempt at this series.
Here's Part 5 of the Zulus on the Ramparts AAR (its been quite a number of months since I last posted on this - apologies for the delay - but lots of other games got in the way!)
