Nice summary - this game needs it. A few details you might want to incorporate:

- Special actions of 0 and 1 cards require that they be played as part of an alliance (not a conspiracy).
- Special action of 0 card requires that it be played on stack of 2 or more.
- Last card drawn must be shown, and limits level of subsequent cards played.
- New values may be re-assigned to all jesters (X) at court on every play (your wording suggests value is set when jester is played and that it cannot change).

Player Aid V2 now contains all the rules. Thanks for the heads-up.

Replace "ore" with "or" as the latter is intended, not the former.

The corrected file should be up in a day. Thanks for pointing out the typo.

EDIT: it's up and running.

There's a small error in the endgame section, it states, "END: no one can play a card..." but should actually be, as per the rules, "END: either player cannot play a card.." No one implies that if one player can't play cards but the other player can, he can keep playing out cards till he's out of an action. Either fixes that, otherwise nice player aid

This is now fixed in version 2.02. Sorry for the delay, I forgot to subscribe to my own files and didn't see your message until now. zombie

You only fixed one part of the aid... the other part reads the old way.

FYI.

Thanks for this. Apparently my husband and I are not as smart as we thought because we have been having the hardest time with this game. Everyone says how simple it is but GAH!, not to us. I did realize as we started 'getting it' that it gave me that same 'brain burn' feeling as Battle Line did when we were learning that. (It was easier for us though because of the kinship with poker.) Both are strategy games and apparently, that's our Achilles heel.

I've dealt with hundreds of games in my day, and this title completely baffles me without an example of play. The difference between getting this and being mystified seems to be the elusive "AHA!" moment.
