A couple questions concerning Anzio - is there another version coming out, with maps, rules, counters, etc? Or, is Tom just updating the rules for those who already own the game?
Second question, is there a different Italian campaign game that people prefer or that is currently in print?

7th edition rulebook is coming for 2010. It will included updated Advanced Game rules. The basic rules were updated in this version.

If you are going to use this rulebook you will need the Italy maps. I don't know another game in operational scale about the Italian Campaign.

What "Italy" maps?

Do I simply need to find the 4th edition somewhere to get the counters and maps? And then use these 7th edition rules?

You can either use the 4th ed. maps and counters or, if you can get hold of them, the more recent maps (including Sicily), that were distributed on a somewhat limited basis.

If I wait for this 7th edition, do I need to spend the time and money to find and buy the 4th edition? Or, will 7th ed be a complete stand alone product?

I suppose this is why I'm confused. I recieved this reply on the CW site:

"Tom is working on a 7th edtion and should have it in a kit when it's done.that should includes map,counters,rules and charts like the 6th ed."

There is a VASSAL module that has Mark Simonitch's 6th edition map and counters. Mark Simonitch has given permission to post the VASSAL modules, but the VASSAL module page is in the process of changing sites and cannot be uploaded at this time.

The modules are currently posted on SendSpace at http://www.sendspace.com/file/nurxmw if anyone cares to download it now.
