You say:
Quote:
Place Travel cards by Action track: 2/3 players - 4 cards...

But from the 2p rules in the manual:
Quote:
Place only 3 travel cards from left to right on the action spaces in each round.

In The Game for Two (the last section of the rule book) it states, "Place 4 travel cards..."

You are stating 2 players - 3 cards for adjustment for players' Arrival in London.

Different edition of the rules manual?

Here is the link to rio grande games .pdf of the rules
http://www.riograndegames.com/uploads/Game/Game_24_gameRules...

There it says in the Rules for Two section:
Quote:
T H E G A M E F O R TWO
Use the following changes when playing with two players:
• Remove the “Connection” event card from the game.
• Place only 3 travel cards from left to right on the action spaces in each round.
• The two players take turns being the starting player.

Just wondering if there are different editions of the rules manual... but the current (online) one says only 3 cards for 2p game.

I would think that it is an error because it would not make sense not to have the option to move the detective.

German rules say 3 cards for two players. Moreover, there is a comment that if only two players are left in the game, then the detective can only be moved by the event cards. Therefore I believe that having only three cards was intentional.

I just looked at my printed rules and Virgilio is correct: it says 4 cards and discard the two that aren't chosen. But the current . pdf says 3 cards for 2 players. At some point the rules were changed!
