All three files are now posted and approved. Please give this adventure variant a try and let me know how it went. If you think some of the cards are too easy or too difficult let me know. And if you have any other ideas for improvement, I'm always interested in feedback.

I've also noticed that the pdf sometimes has trouble uploading all the separate parts of the cards. Try clicking on each card after it has uploaded and it should make all the parts appear. If not, try uploading again.

I have played this adventure variant several times now and it can be quite challenging depending upon when Styg shows up in the Cathedral deck. Your hero also needs to be able to deal with the magic phase or Styg will kill most heroes in round 1 or 2 of combat.

As always, comments are welcome.

Judd

Updated files for both card sheets have now been posted. This is version 1.1 of the rules. The update to file 1 includes wounds and fatigue information for Freya Frostmoon.

If people notice any other typos or mistakes, please let me know.

Thanks,

Judd

Definitely a nice variation built on FW mechanics. I'll look forward to trying this once I get through some other expansions and acquire FW.

Judd, if you're still watching... would you like me to do up a reference card for this, since the CoA-FW reference cards are done and the same template can be used? I could also create some custom tokens to use with the expansion, though that's not really a must.

Thanks JC!

If you have the time, it would be great to have a reference card for this variant, and something I know I would get some good use out of. When you get a chance at playing this variant, let me know how it goes!

Got it. I should have something up at my site (FantasticDiversions.blogspot.com) by the end of the day... and I will immediately upload it to the BGG RB FW files section.

NOTE: CoA Ref. Cards for FW have already been uploaded to BGG but have not yet shown up in the files section.

ADDENDUM: The card has been created, its package uploaded to BGG, and until it appears in the file section you can check it out at my site mentioned above.

Great Story! That's what I needed to have fun again with the Frozen Wastes. Thank you very much, Judd!

Did you remove any adventure cards for playing ToI?

I haven't ever removed any cards, but I am considering adding some green/yellow/blue event cards to this even to better tie the story into the rest of the variant endgame. That said, if a person really doesn't like the sci-fi elements then by all means remove them so that you can better enjoy the overall experience.

Wow, more ToI adventure cards would be great!

For me, that's not because of sci-fi elements. I like sci-fi and I really liked the story of Frozen Wastes until I recognized the flaws of the story.
