This is a step-by-step guide for setting up the game and accurately working through the Director's Meeting and department turns. It also attempts to help sort out the different terminology for an English-speaking audience.

Looks nice. Haven't read the whole thing carefull, but from a quick scan, one possible point of confusion is the end game. You say:
Quote:
Player must immediately announce once they reach 4 goals out of these 6 possibilities:

But perhaps it could be more clearly stated like:
Quote:
Player must immediately on their turn announce once they reach 4 goals out of these 6 possibilities:

Curt beat me to it. Exactly what I was going to suggest about End Game.

Good file, but after doing all that work, I wonder if just reading through the rules a 2nd time might be just as helpful for people learning the game? (Your aid is almost as long as the rules without pictures.)

I know that going through the effort of making that document probably helped your personal knowledge of the game, but I think the rule book for this game is pretty easy to follow and most people can probably learn it fine just by reading through it a second time.

Well, I kinda like summaries like this, becuase the rules are overly verbose to try to follow when trying to remember how to play a game that you've already played, or when wanting something to follow when explaining a game, especially to make sure you didn't forget anything.

That's true. Greg's summary does a very good job of organizing and making the rules as concise as possible. He also simplified several areas that are less straight-forward in the rule book.

For any normal rulebook, I'd agree with you. But I found this rulebook's translation to be more confusing than I'd hope. You're right... this was the result of my effort to understand the rules as clearly as possible. I use it as an aid to myself when teaching the game.

Sure, it's War and Peace... but I'm not sure how to condense the document without eliminating key information. If you want to condense it, cut out the setup information and just use the turn order steps.

Excellent feedback. I'll include that change and upload a new version as soon as I can.
