Ladies and boardgamemen, I am proud to show you the fruit of five months of lazing about and one month of scribing six months of hard work. From the depths of Earth to the surface comes out the final version of Mephisto's manual: version 1.1.

Features:

* 28 pages of proffessionally wrapped-up manual
* illustrations done by Mariusz Gandzel and Maciej Wodecki
* extensively explained and exampled rules of play
* Little Worm's Guide meant for beginning players (beginners + Mephisto? Whoa...)
* four Hex-Aches to think upon in a free while
* example of play showing possibilities of using Mephisto's tactics
* special rules of play against Duel's Vegas
* much, much more to see!

English translation of Mephisto's manual.

I appreciate all the hard work you put into this. I do, however, find it very difficult to sift the rules out of the flavour text in this rulebook. Is there a quick explanation of Mephisto's unique characteristics and of the symbols on the tiles? For example, from the pictures it seems like modules do not need to be attached to mephisto to give it powers. But I can't locate that basic rule in the rulebook, and I prefer not to have to wade through the examples of play to deduce it. Maybe a fan of Mephisto will make a player aid or a succinct list of rules.

Very cool concept! And great presentation as well.

I think Adrenaline Gland would be a really cool module to incorporate into other armies as well. Maybe as "Stim Pack" or something for human armies. Seems like it would fit in nicely with Outpost and their general theme of flexibility.

Anyway, I've only given it a skim so far, but I'll be spending more time with it. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there is an Army Ref card somewhere, at least v1.0 came with one a year ago, based on ScottE's template.

Edit: I'm an idiot, it's right here in the file section, six below this one.

Ah yes. Thanks. I actually downloaded this file a while ago and forgot about it. Now everything is clear.

That wasn't 1.0, actually. But, oh hell, lets forget about it.

Refcard will be updated, too, to match 1.1. I don't think anything important will be changed, though, save for putting it in a ready-to-print PDF format.

Uploaded PDF with tiles. The Polish version will be uploaded when it reaches 1.1a, with the giant amount of grammar/spelling errors there corrected.

I love this army It's probably my favourite, along with the Neojungle and the Doomsday Machine. I really like the combotastic ones, it seems, where an individual tile doesn't do much unless paired with a couple that synergize well with it

this army is AMAZING, even if I haven't tried it yet! just reading the rules makes me hungry for destruction!!buawhahahah!!
Anyway, great work!!

EDIT: just a question: when you use the Acid gland, you can convert all your attack in ranged or you choose? for ex, if you have the Heavy implant module you have 4 attacks; M have an acid gland pointed to enemy HQ and an enemy unit adiacent to Mephisto: can M do 3 damage points to enemy's HQ and one to the single unit or must M do all damage to the HQ (if he decides to use Acid Gland)?
I think that as you can choose every attack's direction it is allowed to attack melee and ranged at the same time, but if I could have a super-official answer...

Your train of thoughts is okay. Meph may still split its attacks, but just one of them can be converted to ranged.

I can't believe it, they found Mephisto 1.3 km below the surface in South Africa!

Okay, that explains why he's currently only 0.5mm long.
Don't worry, they have no idea what they've really found.
