is it really so that the Musketeer can equip only 1 Equipment token per turn? Russian rules are very obscure in this matter and are written as if musketeer takes all 3 tokens and then discards tokens in excess of the limit
This point was clear for me even from the Russian rules. But the rules are obscure, I agree.

Well, English rules are not perfect either. For example, they say something that doesn't make any sense to me:
"During his Phase of Play, a Musketeer can carry out the following actions in the order of his choice as many times as he can and as he wishes."
If you follow this strictly, you can reach the ballroom with one Musketeer in one turn I took a liberty and rephrased this to: "During his Phase of Play, a Musketeer carries out any of the following actions". Perhaps I should even add "..Once".
Also, the rules don't answer your question directly, antoin, however they say "During his movement, a Musketeer can equip..", as opposed to "Exchange-giving: At the end of his movement.."
As for the question, an example of equipment use in the Russian rules suggests that you can pick equipment during your movement (Portos picks up Charges and immediately uses them to continue his movement).
By the way, I've found a difference between your summary and the published Russian rules I have (I haven't read English rules though). In Russian rules they say that Secret Strike may be used only against an enemy who is alone in a room, and in this case the duel doesn't actually take place, so the musketeer may continue his movement. Actually, I like your interpretation better because otherwise Secret Strike is quite useless since you rarely may encounter a single Guard in a room, they usually come in flocks
As for the Cape, the Russian rules don't say that it has to be used only in the beginning of the duel and only in defense. Again, I like your interpretation better, since it seems more logical.
It seems to me that the English edition has revised the rules a bit. And in case of the Secret Strike, it's definitely for the better!
Mikhail, I've checked Russian rules and I admit they are obscure about Secret Strike. Only the bold font helps to see that "alone" refers only to Rochefort, not ordinary guards.
As for Porthos example, My friends argue that this is just additional move as a special item, but if he moved 1 room and equiped Secret Strike, his movement is finished.
Also I wonder if Milady could move 1 room, seduce, move another room (and maybe seduce via special card)
Evgeni, could you please add translations of the abilities of the characters on both sides? (If this gives you a chance to clarify the above questions and any other FAQ points, that would help).
Also, I presume with 4 players, one person plays 2 musketeers?
