Barriers and City Walls.zip (847 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This expansion adds 12 new tiles for you to print out and add to the game. 6 tiles feature barriers, which are similar to the Abbey tiles from the Abbey & Mayor expansion. These barriers may be played against any tile feature (city, field or road). The other 6 tiles include city walls which can only be placed against cities. The city walls help to close off cities, but when you're scoring the city, you may not include the tile that only has a city wall on it.

This can be both a good or a not so good expansion depending on which players play Carcassonne.
For a friendly gaming group this is probably a very nice addition. It makes it easier to complete a feature which otherwise might not have been completed.
Cutthroat players probably won't like it for the same reason why a friendly gaming group would like it.

So for one it can be

and for the other it might be

Disclaimer: I'm not saying that cutthroat players aint friendly people

[color=purple]Another thing to note here is that if you like to play with farmers, then you'll enjoy this expansion as there tends to be many more small cities created. So the "cut-throat" players will definitely spend much time fighting over the farms!
