I am curious how Arimaa is transliterated into Chinese. I see on Wikipedia it is 印度鬥獸棋, i.e. "Indian fight-animal-chess". This seems odd to me for two reasons. First, Arimaa is not derived from 鬥獸棋, it is derived from chess. The inventor Omar Syed was not familiar with 鬥獸棋 at the time that he invented Arimaa, whereas his prototypes make the true connection to chess clear.
Secondly, Arimaa is not Indian. Syed is a citizen of the United States, Arimaa is published in the United States, and Arimaa is far more popular in the United States than in India.
In an early version of the Wikipedia article, Arimaa was transliterated 跑獸棋, i.e. "run-animal-chess", which seems far more appropriate to me, although I don't know how it would sound to Chinese ears. What is your preferred transliteration, and why?
