Axis Sample Cards.pdf (4.64 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
These are the most recent samples of the Axis Strategy Cards. Each time a card is played, the nation or side indicated on the left collects the resource shown if they control the region on the right or have a trade pact with the nation that controls that region. If an event is listed then the resource is collected by the nation / side if they already played the event.

I have noticed that the number of ops on cards has been reduced. Did you find that the use of HQ blocks has reduced the number of Ops necessary to "get things done"?

Or are we not seeing the high Ops cards right now?

Those ARE the high op cards. I am reducing the number of cards played per turn but I am allowing people to do MUCH MORE per op. Activating an HQ allows you to move and attack with 4 units. I am experimenting with allowing all units to move (but not attack) for a single OP point. There are so many limiting factors already associated with weather and building up garrisons and HQs for an offensive that I really don't need ops to be too much of a limiting factor for moving units. Afterall, with 3 month seasons an army can pretty much march from one side of Europe to the other.

How large is the hand size? And how many cards does each player put down per season?

The hand size is always 6. You can play 3 cards if you are at peace. 4 cards once you are at war with another side and 5 cards once you play the "total war" card for your side - "Totaler Krieg", "Great Patriotic War", and "Their Finest Hour".
