A Scenario for Khyber Pass Games' "The Jewish War"
by Robert Ridgeway (2010)
This revolt most resembled a guerrilla war, where open set-piece battles were carefully avoided, leaving the weapons of Denial-Of-Support vs. Hearts-And-Minds the order of the day, as both sides also engaged in opportunistic Destruction-In-Detail. The Jews had prepared strategic tunnel and cave systems well in advance, and the Romans were maneuvering in small search-and-destroy details while maintaining a grip on the Towns (populace).
There are only 5 turns - the years 132-136 - for the Romans to quash this, the 3rd Jewish Rebellion in just over 7 decades.
