This is a variant set that includes three separate variants that add to the game mechanically and thematically.

Appropriate credit must be given to users MasterDinadan and kargie for helping with the mechanics of the destination vote, and getting the ball rolling on cylon leaders, respectively.

The original idea for the skill check made it always reckless. Did you leave that out intentionally?
I also prefer to do the skill check after the sleeper phase. It seems fair to allow people to know what team they are on before making a decision of this magnitude.

I really like the hidden cylon leaders thing, but it seems a bit problematic when combined with some of the "humans win" agendas, since it basically lets you choose which team you are on (you can reveal as a cylon leader to join the humans, or reveal as a regular cylon to turn against them). It seems like you could just wait and see how things go, and then join the winning team.

Nevertheless, it's a good start..

Actually, it was inadvertent that the check was left as non-reckless, however upon actually thinking about it - we're already adding a card sink for human players, why gimp the players even more by adding some of the crazily powered reckless skill checks to it?

You may be right about waiting for loyalties to be passed out first... but if the first game playtest of it was any indication, the ensuing arguments about where to vote for raise enough suspicion as it is. Every player has their theory about where the ship should be headed, and everyone who votes against them is already "omgwtfcylon" - in all honesty, I'm really not sure. I'll have to try it both ways and see which works better. My only thought is that waiting until afterwards might give a little too much of a cylon edge, since they could choose whichever direction would exploit an already-weak resource.

I could see the cylon leaders variant not working for some game groups - any gaming group that is ultra competitive will exploit the easiest win condition, however since the leader agenda does not affect the human/cylon win, it seems somewhat trivial if a cylon leader wins the game - and very often, the objective that are "humans win +" objectives involve putting the humans in dire straights - that the other cylon the board could exploit. Not only that, but waiting so long to reveal certainly has it's disadvantages as well - including the other cylon player revealing and becoming a leader before you get a chance to.

Interesting points though - it certainly will need some more testing before we declare the golden
