These are great! Thanks for the work to put them together.

1 question:
At the end of the Errata file you list changes to 1st ed. scenario Carentan "Add 9 fate points..."

But how are fate points used?

Thanks again.
cool

Fate points are spent BEFORE either player rolls a die. 1 to 3 points may be spent to be added or subtracted from the roll in question.

By spending 3 points, the American player may force a re-roll of one die (US or German).

By spending 5 points, the US player may remove all (Moved, Fired, Assault Move, Low Crawl, & Ops Complete) counters from one hex.

LNL - 20.01 Ordnance Attacks During Night Scenarios
The rulebook states firing at Night is +3 on the OFT. It should be -2, matching the OFT Chart.

+2, no?

Yes, +2 or -2, depending on if you apply the modifier to the "To Hit" number or the die roll.

Same effect either way, it makes it harder to hit

Also, to answer your CSW questions (I can't post there as I don't have a CSW account):

You may stack 2 vehicles in a hex. This has nothing to do with occupying a enemy vehicles hex. The language used was most likely to be clear regarding Melee.

Page 15 reference it the very top of the page;
"Heroes that are created by a moving unit that is Shaken must stop their movement also."
Make sure you didn't miss the very first page of the FAQ that states all page references use the BoH V3 rulebook.

OK, I see that reference to Heroes from Shaken squads at the bottom of pg 15. Missed it before, thanks

I have the v3 rules from Heroes of the Blitzkrieg.

I'm still not sure about this interpretation regarding vehicles, though.

Here is the text I'm looking at:

1.3 Stacking

Each side can have up to three Squads (or their equivalent), two vehicles, one airborne helicopter, and two SMCs in a hex. Each vehicle or helicopter Wreck marker counts as one vehicle for stacking.

I'm not seeing anything in 15.x that prevents a vehicle from entering an enemy vehicle hex. Perhaps this was a designer clarification of an intended rule as opposed to something that appeared in the v3 rule book?

Yes, the whole FAQ was built on either:

1. A clear rules cite in the V3 rules. These will include a page number as a source.

2. Questions answered in the last 5 years either here (BGG), on CSW, on Matrix Games, or in the Yahoo playtest group by Mark H. Walker, or others who directly contributed to the design/playtest of particular modules. Namely Olivier Revenu, Stephane Tanguay, Holmstrom, or Jeff Lewis. These entries have no page number, as the contributions were not in the rulebook.

The errata was built using the same method, though obviously there will be no page numbers given

Fair enough. Something to spell out in v4 if/when we get there.

I see this also. Am I right to assume the Errata is in error and that the Die Roll Modification is 3? Therefore 20.01 in the rule books is correct, the OFT in BoH(and other places perhaps) is in error excepting HotG?

Any answer to the above? Is the FAQ correct or the V3.1?

Apparently it was changed in 3.1.

I would use that.
