I do have one question, but it's not specific to the bonus cards.
There's a note under Solar Eclipse about pilgrimages. Does this note really belong with Solar Eclipse, or should it be with the pilgrimages? I know that's where it occurs in the rulebook, but it confused me there too. I can see how it's relevant to the Solar Eclipse but it looks like it could be relevant for pilgrimages when not using Solar Eclipse too. I haven't actually played the game yet so it's quite possible I'm missing something.
The way I read that note is how Solar Eclipse and Pilgrimages work together. If you just had a Pilgrimage, I think you could skip Road Building, build a Temple during your Construction Action and then go on the Pilgrimage. However, if Solar Eclipse is also impacting the same player(s), they are not able to do this in the same People Phase. If this is not the case, I agree that the placement of the note would be out of place.

From the wording, I had misinterpreted the note as a general rule, rather than one specific to the card (I thought it was one of those nasty "let's sneak an important rule in this side note where you're likely to miss it"; fortunately it wasn't).
