Needs a little mini-icon to indicate where new governments are unlocked, to make them more recognisable.

I have a few small enhancements in mind, like adding checkboxes on the coin-earning techs to mark off how many coins you've gained from them. I'd like to avoid adding too many icons, especially with the text so small, as the icons would have to be pretty small. I'll play around with it and see how it looks though.

More suggestions/corrections are welcome!

Suggestions:
Add something like
_______ |_Hammers_|_Trade_|
Capital |_________|_______|
City #2 |_________|_______|
City #3 |_________|_______|
TOTAL |_________|_______|

Possibly moving "Hand size" etc. to a single column far right.

This would help people who have to recount all their cities every turn because they can't remember...

I tried to do this myself but man alive, Acrobat Pro really is NOT a good tool for editing PDFs!

Great idea Carl, I'll add something like that in my next revision and make the spaces for tracking the other things a bit more obvious. Also had a few omissions pointed out so I'll get those in, too.

We used the 1.1 version (thanks for the early copy!) of this last night and it's great, with a few minor problems:
Add culture count to the city area
Add total column to the city area (faster than adding 3 numbers)
Add 4 coins below pottery like Democracy, etc.

One of the upgrade techs uses Arabic numeral 3 instead of Roman numeral III

At a quick glance, it's hard to see which tech goes with what benefit. I wonder if lines / boxes might help, or zebra-striping with like 25% gray.

Other than that, the new players generally said it's hard to find the tech that does what you want, but I think that requires a different sheet that has the techs grouped by things like "increase military power" "improve trade" "improve culture" etc., which I plan to work on.

Because not everyone can see the market (esp. in a 4-player game, the size of the map means someone's sitting too far away), one player wanted something similar to the city boxes for military, e.g. Unit Type / Level so you can at-a-glance see "I have level 3 infantry, level 1 mounted, and level 2 artillery" which seemed like it might be useful.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback. I knew I was missing one set of coin checkboxes but kept overlooking it every time! I'll try light zebra striping to make it easier to read, lines might be too busy.

I like the idea of grouping things by what the apply to but I thought it would be easier to have them sorted alphabetically to help people locate specific ones more quickly. Also, familiarity with the game will reduce the need for that and people will probably just be looking for the specific ones they want.

In the end there's only so much space on one page and too much information to track I'll see how much more I can stuff on there without it getting too unwieldy though.

Yeah I totally think your sheet in alphabetical order makes sense. I envision a second sheet for newer players looking for "I want to do this. What tech should I research?"

I'm thinking of adding a second page with that...

Thanks so much for this resource.

Minor correction: Masonry also grants 3 stacking.

Other minor correction: Writing should be "cancel a city action" (not cancel an action) per the FAQ errata (it's only right on the green tech card).

Version 2.0 is now up with Fame and Fortune!

* Added in new techs from the expansion.

* Removed the tech tree pyramid tick boxes to make room for investments.

* Updated player aid page with Fame and Fortune expansion items.

Let me know if there's anything I missed or find any errors. Haven't played with the updated sheet yet so I'm sure things are hiding in there.

Excellent aid especially with Fame and Fortune update but hidden too far back in the file section. Can you upload it to the Fame and Fortune file section?
