Someone kindly brought to my attention a flaw in my first submission of this....even in PDF format the font which the counters were created in can only be read if one has that font already installed on their computer. That being said, this time, the counter sheets were first saved in a picture format then converted to PDF, thus no font is required.
A set of larger (3/4 inch) counters and larger map (special thanks to whoever created the homemade map in "images" which I used/modified with town and river names and added better defined bridges). Also included a color Turn Record Track (TRT), Combat Results Table (CRT), and Terrain Effects Chart (TEC).
I also added "Dug-in" counters/markers and rules which can be used as optional rules.
If you want smaller (1/2 inch) counters and map then print the counters and map at 67% size.
I had the map printed and laminated at a local print shop for $11.50 and it looks great.
NOTES ON MAKING YOUR NEW CARDBOARD COUNTERS:
1. You'll need a rolling blade paper cutting board (which can be purchased at any Craft/Hobby store).
2. Print your counters off on a color printer (I have found that Ink Jets work better than Laser Jets) using 8.5 x 11 size adhesive shipping labels.
3. Adhere your printed counters onto a sheet of compressed cardboard (the cardboard backing of a normal pad of legal paper works great).
4. If you wish your counters to be a little thicker and have that "real" counter look and feel, you can glue a sheet of cardstock paper to the reverse side of the cardboard (regular school glue works fine just ensure that you spread the glue fully and evenly).
5. Allow a day to dry and then flatten (the cardboard will bow when the glue drys) by placing between two heavy books for a few hours.
6. CAREFULLY cut your counters out on your rolling cutting board.
7. LIGHTLY spray counters with a LIGHT coat of clear matte acrylic finish and allow to dry.
8. Enjoy your pretty new armies!!
