Auf-Achse-Event-Cards.pdf (233 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
I don't have the heart, nor do I have the crafty skill to paste-up my Event Cards. The same goes for creating the English cards that David Vander Ark submitted.

However, since the Event Cards are always acted upon as soon as they are drawn and aren't secret, I decided to create a reference chart that could be used to translate the German cards on the spot.

Using David's excellent translations, I worked out the relationship to the original cards with the assistance of an online translator and plunked them down into a chart that can be printed double-sided and laminated for a handy reference.

The way we play, some cards ARE secret. For example, if I draw the card that lets me drive through the construction sign, I simply hold it face down and play it when needed. This may or may not be in the rules, but we like it this way.

Another issue with the chart is the inspection card that gets passed from player to player. You'll need a poker chip or something to pass from player to player to handle that situation.

Umm .. you still have the card.

This is just for referencing when you draw the card so you know what it does. In time you'll probably learn the German enough to no longer need it!

Edit: It just struck me that you can still play the cards close to the chest by not revealing it and looking it up on the chart first before either tucking it away or playing it.

this is a perfect solution. i too didn't really want to take time/money to print my own cards, and i for sure didn't want to sticker the cards. i found (based on my first 3 plays) that the cards were only used 3-5 times per game... so going to this simple chart is no problem at all. thanks for the upload.

Nice job!

I thought I would mention for any future revision that one of the cards' names should be shown in Standard German as Plattfuß.

The last character is the German eszett, or a double-s. The Swiss don't use the eszett and would write the word out as Plattfuss.
