el-ala_eng_cardspasteupsv2.1.pdf (5.57 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
Updated version v2.1 of the paste-up file. Apart from the v2.0 fixes (terminology and typos), some more minor typos plus the wrong symbol on the Enemy Supply Base. First two pages are card descriptions, pages 3-14 are pasteups, and page 15 deals with the promocards.

Thanks!

Possible errata: The card "Box Position" is labelled number 10/48, but I believe the matching card is #35.

Yep, I noticed when I cut them out myself. But thanks anyway. It's part of the update. Some frames were missing, and also, the artillery battery should be 88mm, not 8mm…

Thank you
The flavour text is the best. I wish, someone translate the flavour text of "Barbarrossa", too.

I just discovered this game after having played Thunderstone, Resident Evil, and Puzzle Strike and started looking for more deckbuilding games. (I know about Dominion, but I'm a sucker for good artwork, and Dominion is a bit lacking there.) I spent an entire day pasting these translations to the cards and sleeving them, and it's quickly becoming my favorite game!

Any plans to do Barba★rosa? I know there are already translations for it, but I like the fact that you stick with "literal" translations rather than inventing a new format. Also I like having the flavor text translated.

Oh, and one minor error I've discovered (extremely minor). The card number for the Italian Infantry Regiment with the "pasta" flavor text should be 15/48 instead of 14.

Thanks again for all your hard work!

edit: I found another typo. Luftwaffe: "Deply" should be "Deploy"
Also I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the text at the end of El Alaheim. I think there are a couple of typos in there - I have the gist of what it's saying, but I'm not 100% certain.

Also the Occupied Enemy Supply Base shows it giving Attack Points when it should be Supply Points.

I've done Barba*Rossa; it's currently under translation-check. It'll be up soon.

I've fixed the Supply Base thing (sorry for that); thanks for reminding me, I'll upload the finished result now.

Edit: The 2.1 version is uploaded now, it is fixed.

Thanks for the quick fix! I think El Alamein still has a typo in it (the "will" should be "with" maybe?), but I understand how the card works now. The rest of the typos in the cards are very minor. I could make up an entire list of corrections if you'd like, but if you're working on other stuff then I won't bother you with it.

And I'm very much looking forward to the translations for Barba★Rossa!

I might have to give the other Arclight games a try as well. (After my bank account recovers from buying these two games, that is )

Search for typos is always a good thing. Fixing them isn't much of a problem, so make a list.

OH NOES! I just finished pasting with Umbert's paste ups! I guess, I will stick with his. The icons are nice, but then again, I really like the flavor text. What a quandary...

Noticed a minor problem, I think.
The Itallian Infantry are apparently number 12-15, but there are twice as many pasteups for 14 and none for 15. Though I look now and see that half of the 14's have different flavor text, so I'm guessing some are supposed to be 15's. It seems the only difference among them is the flavor text, correct?

Dang. Minor, but yet, true.

There are 20 italian infantry, with 4 different flavour texts (and numbers). I must have missed a numbering there.

Okay, since the flavor text and numbers are the only difference, I don't much care. It seemed pretty clear that was the case. I think I even got the right flavor text pasteups on the right cards (because I'm that kind of guy). But I wanted to check.

Thanks again! As with Barbarossa, these are really excellent!

A few notes about version 2.1:
- card 3: typo in Hetalians for Italians, probably intentional
- card 5: typo in Communucation for Communication, intentional?
- cards 14/15: the pasteups for card 15 are labelled 14 (so there are two types of card 14, with different flavour texts)
- cards 18,19,21,P02: point bonuses are not in bold (I didn't check the original japanese cards though, maybe that's intentional too)

Actually there are some missing bold numbers in the yellow parts of cards, so you should check for all of them.

Do you confirm the typo on communucation and hetalians ? Or is any of them intentional ?

"Hetalians" is intentional. Communucation is not.
