Players work cooperatively to complete mission objectives, such as constructing large cities, laying down massive roads, and establishing large numbers of cloisters. The points you collect from completing towns, roads, and cloisters will allow you to collect currency in the form of Meeples that your team will need in order to help you reach your objective. Pieces will be drained off into a side pile every turn and must be reclaimed before the pile overflows or you will lose.

Neat idea. Still not quite challenging enough, as you mentioned in the rule set. (My friends and I only play cooperative games when there's a high chance of losing; it makes the winning far more incredible.)
Not a bad game, and we're thankful you created this one, since we've been looking for a coop version for a while. A little tweaking, and it should be amazing.

You could always add 5 to the length of the road, size of the city or do two challenges at once lol.

Wouldn't just decreasing the side-pile limit add the required difficulty? Like the Forbidden Island red arrow on the flood card.

Or would that take the game from a "little too easy" to "pretty much impossible"?

Thanks,
JoeK

It would definitely make it harder. I think that reducing it by one wouldn't make it that much harder, it would just cause you to be less greedy because you would pushing that line more often. Reducing by two however would probably start to get you into trouble and cause you to lose randomly from bad draws.

You might try increasing the cost and reducing the pile size, or requiring 3 tiles instead of two for a completed city for a reset.

I realize that I haven't come out with an update in a while but that is because I have been busy working on something else. Sorry to anybody who has been watching for that. The update will probably just contain more variations for increasing the difficulty and maybe some minor fixes to the text.

I could do a lot more with it if I brought in dice or extra bits, but the original idea was to find other ways of using what came in the box.

Well done!

Have you done cooperative variants for other competitive boardgames?

All the best,

Eduardo

Andrew has not; he has been focusing on developing a new game which he hopes to shop to some publishers. It's in testing now.
