1984 Chicago Cubs.doc (126 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
For the I-94 world series that should have been in 1984 except those darn Pods won 3 straight after dropping the first 2 to the beloved Cubbies. They broke my wish for that fall...to watch the 2 best teams in baseball that year in the WS. The Pods didn't have a chance against the Tigers that year. The Cubs would have given the Tigers a real dog fight and run for their money, but alas, it didn't come to be. I keep wanting to believe that that WS would have been an historical classic. I have always felt since then that the Tigers never faced the best, therfore, that makes it challenging to call them the best that year.
