Dead of Night Scenario Shaun.pdf (221 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
A new scenario for Dead of Night.
The aim of this scenario is to provide an easy and short introduction to the death of night game. This scenario takes 30 minutes to one hour to play through, and works well with parties of 2 to 4 players.

This looks really cool and it's a great idea of an introductory scenario to get new players into this game. The first scenario can be daunting.

Two things are that you call it "Death of Night" and that that I'm having trouble understanding Shaun's panic rules. More precisely, you refer to Shaun "facing up". I'm pretty sure this game doesn't have facing. Maybe just a random direction away from the nearest zombies?

Thanks again.

I've fixed the "death"/ "dead" thing, that was a typo.
RE: shaun facing any direction or not. I wanted the panic direction to be really random, so that Shaun could also flip and just attack the zombies in some final act of defiance. In order to do so, I introduced the direction Shaun was looking at, to relate the random direction to.
I'm not quite happy with it yet either. Could you think of a mechanic that would send Shaun off in a certain direction, in a way that would make more sense?

(I'll save the BGG-update to this file for when we've fixed this directionality thing.)

Would you like to continue this conversation in the thread I started about it? Makes it more manageable to have this conversation in one location.THREAD
