Wow - I didn't expect to like this as much as I do.

The only problem is ... I don't have 5-6 to play with now. I am going to try to incorporate some of your ideas into my 2 and 3 player games though.

Great. Tell me what you do and whether it works out for you.

This is phenominal!

Now to figure out how I can have these printed/mounted on some thicker board like material.

Thanks!

A few claification questions for the Leadership Circle:

How do you determine who gets to put their figure in the "1" space? Is it related to the Turn Order Track position?

What would be the stradegy for not putting your figure in the Leadership Circle?

I like the Trading post addition. Great idea.

With 5 or 6 players do you find that you need more spaces for trying to procure resources? I haven't tried playing with 5 or 6 people yet but seems like this is where the balance might get difficult to maintain. (ie - in a 4 person game you might get beat out for a few resources but can probably get something else. With 5 or 6 people you might get beat out a lot more and not be able to get resources fairly.)

The first person to place their figure in the Leadership Circle must take the "1" space. This ensures that they will be the first player next round. If another player places a figure in the Leadership Circle, he must place his figure on the "2" space, thereby going second next round. And so on.

As far as strategy goes, you have to ask yourself how important it is to you to be earlier in the turn order next round. If you don't care, then you might not want to put a figure in the Leadership Circle. Or, if you think everyone else will place a figure in the Leadership Circle, then you might want to wait to place a figure last, that way you will be first to select a resource when the dice are rolled.

Thanks. I'm actually not so enamored with it and have been trying a variant that involves the cards from the New Hut Expansion. I'll post this change once I've tried it out a few more times.

I think you definitely need more spaces for procuring resources with more players. That's why I included the River Market. It does exactly that.

Thanks for your interest. Let me know if you try it out!

Thanks for getting back to my so soon!

I am thinking about the Leadership Circle and how do you determine who gets to be the first person to put their figure in the "1" space? Does it go by order of the Turn Track Order from last round and the person last in the Turn Order gets to choose if they want to be first in line for Leadership Circle and then next from the last and so on?

What problems have been having with the Trading Post? Seems fairly straight forward and a good idea but I haven't play tested it yet.

You mentioned the New Hut Expansion. Do you know where to get that as I have searched the web and can't find it for sell?

Thanks again!

Figures are placed in the Leadership Circle just like they are on any other space on the board. Turn order is determined by the Turn Order Track. The player whose token is on the "1" square, goes first for this round. The player whose token is on the "2" square goes second. Etc.

I haven't had any problems with the Trading Post. It works fine. But here are three reasons for the change:

1. I don't own the New Hut Expansion but it looked really fun and I wanted a way to use proxies without having to reprint the rest of the huts from the base game.

2. With the addition of the Leadership Circle, there are more opportunities to gain tools and farms. Using tiles from the New Huts Expansion allows for more opportunities to gain figures.

3. With only having 4 stacks of huts available, Civilization cards that multiply the number of huts a player has are less valuable. Making the New Huts available increases the number of huts a player has access to and increases the value of those cards.

Thanks Stoodster,

I gave Stone Age to my mum a couple of years ago and they've been playing 1-2 times per week ever since. Their only regret was that it was only for 4 players, so I pointed them in this direction and they are loving your expansion.

Thanks,
Bill
