I welcome all comments on this aid, please comment even its nitpicky. I plan to update the aid as time goes on.

I have a dicussion thread for the aid up:
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/649920/winning-conditions-an...
But feel free to respond here instead.

I've based the aid on both the rulebook (The english translation isn't very clear in border cases) and on official responses in these threads:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/644369/who-wins-when-the...
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/647502/questions-about-t...
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/644359/profiteer
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/622755/green-and-blue-pa...

This has resulted in some of the aid wording being differant than in the rules book, such as the boss winning condition, since the author has said the boss wins in cases such as a path to the treasure that is blocked by blue and green doors simultaneously.

Please feel free to modify my aid and upload your version (such as other language translations or a better theme), I only ask that you credit me somewhere (for instance, a link to this file page in a comment or description on your file page). As with all my previous files, I've marked this with creative commons to help creatively enable people.

If anyone wants the open office file I used for the source (such as if you want more easily edit the file or to use the higher quality uncompressed thumbnails), I've uploaded it. I may not upload an open office version for every PDF version I upload, but if anyone wants a certain version of the ODT file let me know.

Pic of the player aid v1 I think

I playtested a copy of the aid with a 12 player and 3 player college game yesterday, it went very well. The aid was passed around frequently meaning I need to print more than just my 1 test copy

As a side note: Gold payouts are very low in 12 players (boss and profiteer frequently get nothing). We played a 3 player game and that was a BLAST! The original saboteur 1 was kinda boring with few players, but saboteur 2 is very fun with few players because of the new roles and winning conditions. One round of the 3 player game 2 of the players built the path backwards PAST the starting ladder LOL (I was saboteur and the other player was a profiteer). At least until the saboteur has his role changed!

BGG admins turned down my open office document I used to make the aid saying it was too "esoteric". Open office is free open source and is the main alternative to MS word lol. I'm just trying to give out the original documents to make it easy if someone wants to edit them.

Anyway, I put it on google docs and linked the ODT files.

hi,
New HAT! should be worded "...to make anyone discard..."

also do the special characters like boss, geologist, profiteer count towards the number of winners? perhaps you can include that in the aid as well?

thanks! great job!

Sorry yeah, I thought I worded new hat that way already lol. I'll fix it for next version. Because yes, you can play it on yourself.

For the # of winners, anyone in the aid that says they "win if this happens" counts as a winner. Hence, only the geologist doesn't count as a winner. Thats why I worded him as "doesn't win or lose."
You can confirm this from the end round payout example in the official rules, towards the end.

So if 2 blue dwarves win, and the boss wins and the profiteer wins, then thats 4 winners with the blue guys getting 2 gold each, the boss getting 1, and the profiteer getting 0.

I don't have enough room in the aid to explicitly spell this out, so basically anywhere where I say someone wins, if he wins he counts as a winner

For casual games I like to houserule that profiteer and boss get a minimum of 1 gold payout, especially in large 8+ player games. Otherwise it feels pointless to play them since they often get nothing.

Will, this player aid is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I am keeping a couple copies in my box with the game for our board game group.
