For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to be a part of the Ascension playtesting groups, I thought I would create a faux-expansion for you to play with until Return of the Fallen comes out (or, heck, even after that game comes out).

Samael has once again been banished to the depths of Deofol; and, while the inhabitants of Vigil rest a little easier now, the fallen one is not content to rest in his fiery prison. He has sent some of his best shapeshifters to infiltrate each of the 4 factions. Known as Traitors, these entities require you to return honor to the communal pool in exchange for their villainous acts. Used properly, however, their downsides will reek havoc on the best laid plans of your opponents. (ex: if a card has "Traitor: 4" you must put 4 honor from your pool back into the communal pool before using its ability)
In her despair at seeing Ogo losing its purity, Cetra also breathes life into some of the stars of the Destiny Constellation and sends them below. Known as Freyals (pronounced like FRAIL), these creatures share their abilities with each other Freyal in your hand. (e.g. Slivers in MtG).
