An expanded map for Federation Space based on the original game map. Additionally, I added a new Federation TNG file that now includes Planetary Defense systems for the Romulans.

Some small explanation would be helpful, I suppose.

As stated, this is basically an expanded FS map with the Cardassian Union added to aid the Alliance forces. DS9 is stationed in hex FF04. My thoughts on it are that the Feds may garrison it with only a single ship until they are at war with Cardassia. That ship may be no larger than a CA. All other Federation ships must start on or behind the row of battle stations on the map.

The Cardassians are limited to Keldon BC (the only Cardassian ship which may cloak), Galor CM, and Hideki FF class ships until they are allied to the Dominion (no petty politics here; they just ally and start receiving Dominion ships to support them). Once they are allied with the Dominion, they receive Dominion Battleships, Warships, and Attack Ships out of the Bajoran Wormhole based upon whatever method players choose (I am planning on working out a simple table, someday). No Federation or Cardassian ships may end movement on the Bajoran Wormhole; they may move "through" it on the map.

Additionally, I have added the Talerian and Tzenkethi minor empires as Neutral powers. I had a small diplomacy chart for them that allowed players to spend EPs to attempt to ally with them but I declined to add it; I would rather let players determine how or if they enter the game.

I did add the Cardassians to the turn/entry chart on map #4; now the Coalition has someone entering to assist them after the Gorn enter (but before the Tholians). Some nice balance there IMHO.

As ever, comments and critique are welcome. I really hope this spurs greater interest in this fun little game!

God bless,

Byron
