Can you explain how you use this? I'm using GIMP and have very little experience with it. Are the fonts embedded? Say I want to change the item name, or the opening bid amount?

As an example, I'd like to create these artifacts:

Level: a
Name: Essence of Emerald
(Potion icon)
Opening bid 20
VP: 1+
Description: Place 2 emerald cards under this card. You may take them on any subsequent turn during the Gain Magic Energy phase, or score 1 additional VP at the end of the game, if unused.
-5 on Crystal of Protection

Level: b
Name: Essence of Ruby
(Potion icon)
Opening bid 40
VP: 2+
Description: Place 2 Ruby cards under this card. You may take them on any subsequent turn during the Gain Magic Energy phase, or score 2 additional 2 VPs at the end of the game, if unused.

i'm not sure if gimp supports all the functions. it probably does, but it might be better to find a gimp tutorial first.

the template has different layers for different stuff. for example, if you want to edit the text, there is a layer called "item text". there are separate layers for the toad and raven symbols that you have to activate if you want them to show. and so on.

the fonts are not embedded. i used "magic cards" (probably downloaded for free from the internet), "times new roman" and "Tempus sans ITC" (which were probably both included with my windows or office). but it won't hurt if you use different fonts, just make sure the font size is large enough to be easily readable. i did the item text in 7pt size (check the template, it might be the old one with only 6pt, which was too small after printing. in that case increase it to 7).
