con_ageofwar_en_v1.5.pdf (68 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
The version 1.5 of my expansion "Age of War" for "Conquest of Nerath" contains changes to the ability "strengthen" and the spells. "Strengthen" has been changed to favour attacks instead of defence and the spells have been downgraded because they were too mighty. Also now the length of the game decides when the new options are available.

I like your new units. Strengthen should be one soldier with a d6 and not three with 3d8. It's too powerfull. You could just attack over and over and build up a free army.

The ability does not create units and is lost after the fight battles step. Also each soldier gets just a single D8 instead of the normal D6 for its attack. You have to read the entry more carefully.

3 soldiers = 3D8. I reread your entry and it doesn't say the soldiers go away at the end of the battle. If that is your intent you should put that in there. "If the Footsoldiers are not destroyed in the battle, they lose this bonus after the step is over" makes it sound like they stay. I still think it's too powerfull because even if the soldiers roll D6 instead of D8 it's the fact they can soak up 3 hits before you can touch the general. You could raise the cost of the general or lower the soldiers.

On a side note you could have different generals for the armies. A necromancer with a raise dead ability where the soldier stays would be cool.

Bottom line it's your expansiion so you can do what you want. I'm merely giving positive feedback.

They do stay, because they were there before the ability was triggered. The ability only gives soldiers D8, it does not create soldiers.
