Small World Almanac v1_2 book format.pdf (2.82 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This is a reference manual including information on all Races, Special Powers, Relics, and Popular Places from Small World and all of its expansions, plus Small World Underground.

This includes information from:
Small World
Small World: Cursed!
Grand Dames of Small World
Small World: Be Not Afraid...
Small World Underground

All items are categorized (Race, Special Power, etc.) and sorted alphabetically. Items are color-coded by which expansion they originate from.

To use this booklet, simply print all of the pages two-sided (flip on short edge) on 8.5"x11" paper, stack all the pages, and fold in the center. Finish it off with some staples and you are all set!

All art has been used with permission from Days of Wonder.

Text has been modified slightly from Small World instruction manuals and reference sheets to promote clarity, to note some exceptions, and for compatibility between Small World and Small World Underground.

Please let me know if you find any mistakes or have any suggestions! I intend to keep this updated as more expansions are released.

Version 1.2 fixes a mistake from version 1.1.
1. Added missing Popular Place: The Great Brass Pipe

Very nicely done. Thanks so much for the work put into it. It is exactly what I need. I posted a link to your almanac in my review. http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/680931/20-questions-about-sm... Thanks again!

I'm interested, but an ink conservationist. This is in full-color? How many pages are in the document? Also, since it is set up to be printed 2-sided, did you account for bleeds/overprint, etc. or should we do that manually?
Perhaps you should take a photo and post it in the images>creative section.

It is 7 pages (8 1/2" paper) x 2 sides. So once it is folded and stapled I think you end up with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" 28 page booklet.

I haven't had a chance to read over all the specific text for mistakes so you may want to look that over.

It is in full-color, but I could create a grayscale version to save on ink if you'd like. If printing on double-sided letter-size paper, you will use 7 pages. The book, when assembled, has 28 pages (including the front and back covers).

Nothing except for the light background image is printed within a 1/4" of the page border, so I don't think bleeding should be an issue. Overprint did not seem to be an issue for me (I'm assuming you mean dark colors from one side showing through to the other side), but perhaps that will depend on the quality of paper you are using.

I will try to post a photo of a printed manual here when I get a chance.

This looks really cool. I just played with my game group and was thinking that I needed something that combined the expansions.

One question though, do most people mix the Underground game with the original. I would prefer to have Underground separated out, but I haven't played it yet.

Thanks for taking the time!

Fantastic list Matt. Much better than having to deal with multiple copies of A3 sized sheets and 3 expansion lists.

I spotted a couple of errors that you may want to put right for version 2.0.

1) The description of the Special Ability for Barricade is wrong. It is a duplicate of Alchemist special ability that appears above it.

2) The picture you have used for the Tomb Special ability is Stone.

3) Small typo in Catapult: '...to conquer any Region this is 1 Region away...'

Is there any chance that you may do an A4 sized version?

When the printer tries to resize it to A4 the side edges of the printed page don't quite match up and you lose a few letters of each word no matter where you place the staples. Still well worthwhile though, even as it is.

Steve

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to fix those mistakes soon, and I'll see what I can do about making an A4 version.

This is very nice. Would it be possible to get an editable version of this, so I could set it up in Icelandic? I very much understand if you don´t want to hand that out. My borhters like this game but will not play with me until I have made them some player´s aid in Icelandic.

Great stuff! Just played our first game with Tunnels linking SW to SWU, and everything thrown together--what a lifesaver this was!

1 note, though--you missed a Popular Place, the Great Brass Pipe.

Thanks for making the game playable with everything all jumbled in!
