Thanks John! modest And a shout out to Nick Hayes, who did all the great illustrations!

On another note, I revised file CI_Counter_ScottRedesign_PNGsng since I forgot to include the Harvest Tokens and misc other tokens. The new one is up.

Well, if I trim the black border off the map & print it on a single sheet of A3, it's just over 70% size. Means the counters have to be shrunk to just marginally over 1/2", but it avoids that annoying taped seam on the map...

Still looks good at that size, and completely readable. Should have it assembled by the weekend.

EDIT: 1/2" counters, not 1/4"... my eyesight isn't that good...

A friend of mine made a set of counters sized at 5/8" and they were very readable. Though sounds like you are reducing them to 1/2" which is the original size and that's pretty small. But if they are readable that's the important thing. You'll basically have it back to the size of the original Microgame scale!

Oops... I meant 1/2", of course. Pretty much original size... the counters are precisely 17/32", the hexes 22/32" A/F. The counters look entirely readable at gaming distances (and I printed from the PDFs).

I think I could have squeezed another 1/4" width out of the hex portion of the map, losing the brown border altogether at the sides, but it wouldn't look as good. And I could have made the counters 1/32" wider, but they'd overlap the hexes at the corners as much as they do in the rulebook illustrations, which I don't like. Mine almost entirely fit within the hexes. If I like it enough but find the size annoying, I can reprint it full size on 2 sheets of A3 taped together.

I had no problem with the original game (which I own a copy of), this one just looks much better. And my original counters seem to have been stuck down to some heavier card by some evil looking glue...
