Hi all - unfortunately step 6 of "Resolving the Skirmish" is incorrect.
I have corrected it & have included some of the more pertinent rules clarifications that usually get over looked.
Have upload a new version of the file.

Nice job! What about putting the clan powers on there, too?

Thanks.
My first aim was to try to make the rules a little clearer.
Hopefully I've achieved this.
Next step is to fix some incorrect information & to include some of the rules clarification information that usually gets missed.
I've just uploaded a new version.
I was thinking about including clan powers information as well, but I need to think about how I'll fit it in.

I have added an new page to detail Clan Powers.
FYI - I have called them Bloodline Powers because the powers appear to be different based upon bloodlines.

I believe your interpretation of "Do not discard this clan" is incorrect. You state that you put the clan card back in your hand at the end of the skirmish. The consensus on the site is that the card remains on the table for one more skirmish and then is discarded after the skirmish is over.

According to the rules:

"If, unfortunately, your clan belongs to another lord's army at the end of the skirmish, then its effect will occur for that lord instead."

This is a direct reference to "end of skirmish" powers. So, your statement in the Bloodline Powers Chart that "These actions are only valid for the player who originally played the card." would not be correct.

Thanks for that Steve. I have updated the player's aid accordingly & will upload a new version when I get internet access (other than by iPhone). Will probably be Monday night.

Update has been uploaded. Just needs to be approved.

Nice job on the player aid. It helped to clear up a lot of questions I had.
I'm still trying to get to the bottom of a question I have about Clan Scott. Your aid says...
Quote:
(Note: you will need to find a way to denote the copying of a power if the power that is being copied is one that occurs when the
skirmish is resolved. Coloured tokens/meeples for each player are a possible solution).
I'm not sure how different coloured tokens for each player would help. I can, however, see how different coloured tokens for each of the bloodlines might help. Actually, only the three bloodlines that have powers that occur after the skirmish is resolved would require tokens. Is this what you mean? If not then how exactly do I keep track of things with the tokens?

I've had a bit more thought about this & I think that my original idea was what I wanted to communicate, but it may not be as clear as it could be. See if this makes it clearer,

Quote:
Copy the power of any face-up clan from any player’s army in the current skirmish.
(Note: if the power being copied is one that is resolved at the end of the skirmish, each player can use a coloured token/meeple, which is place on the face-up clan card being copied, to indicate that its power is being copied).

If this makes things clearer, I'll update the player aid accordingly.

And yet, that's not right either.

The main thing you need to do is to clearly associate the card being copied with the card that is copying it. So, if you have a collection of Carcasonne meeples, for example, the first time the power is used, you could put a blue meeple on both cards. If another card is played, you could put a green meeple on both the copying & copied cards. etc.
The colour association doesn't need to be for the player, but to clearly indicate which card is copying which action.

Maybe replacing,

Quote:
Coloured tokens/meeples for each player are a possible solution.

with,

Quote:
Coloured tokens/meeples couplets for copying & copied card pairs is a possible solution.

is a solution.
