When I complained somewhere that locations 1A to 1C felt a bit left out, I was pointed to this thread with substitutions. I created a spreadsheet that fleshes this out slightly more, and here's the printable PDF version of that spreadsheet.

Instructions: When prompted by the Void Lock location to use a left-hand location, use the top location instead and change the left and right blip pile sizes by the respective numbers. For example, "-1 / -2" means you should take one less card for the left blip pile, and two less cards for the right one.

The printed version should fit into the game box, I have mine inside the manual. The green area is the one where locations 1A, 1B and 1C are used instead of 2 and 3.
