The combat mechanics of Merchants & Marauders make it a little difficult to understand the relative probabilities of various outcomes. Obviously 3 seamanship is better than 2 seamanship-- But how much better? 50% better? 275% better?
I created these tables so that players could have a better understanding of their chance of success in various situations without having to play hundreds of games.
They should help estimate the relative magnitude of various proposed house rules as well. They certainly helped me understand why the designer liked the Galleon/Frigate balance.
They are fully my own creation and I don't know the legal nuances of using game artwork, so there is no fancy background.
