Expansion Rules Tech chart.xls (40 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
The two tech charts are broken into four appropriate areas (as mentioned in my expansion rules file). The chart itself can be cut out and fits inside/under the lid of each nation's components box. I've kept the heavy bombers at 2d6, since a player can now "focus" on more particular tech. to combat SBR's (ie: war bonds, radar), and if you use the Fighter Interceptor rule that I've included in my expansion (also used in other A&A editions)... then bombers should have a bigger punch to make it worth it (and I like heavy bombers to be HEAVY :) But its an open excel so anything can be changed (I've added some description to each tech as well, when space permitted). Oh - and some feedback and results while using these charts would be nice...

This is a great chart!!! Some changes that I would suggest, under the AVIATION SECTION should be RADAR AA defends on 2 or less, as well as JET FIGHTERS defending on 5, another would be TACTICAL BOMBERS can attack an industrial complex, 1 die worth of damage divided by 2 rounded down, ACES would be fighters attacking on 4 or less.

The NAVAL section I suggest FAST FLEET all ships can move 1 extra space, The IMPROVED SHIPYARDS reduce all ship cost by 1 ipc's, COMBINED BOMBARDMENT destroyers/cruisers can do shore bombardment during amphibious assault hitting on a two or less, TOKYO XPRESS destroyers can transport 1 infantry.LANDING CRAFT transports can carry 1 extra infantry

The ARMY section CONSCRIPTING may place 1 infantry in any territory with or without industrial complex in as many territories as likes (due to conscripting) SPECIAL OPS can attack on 2 or less (cost would be 4 ipc's still defend on 2 or less) use a slightly different color infantry unit e.i. infanrty from the original A&A grey for germany or from an online store you can find the links on here. SUPER ARTILLERY can move 2 spaces matched with a tank (tank can only take 1 infantry or 1 artillery not both)

INFRASTRUCTURE section MASS PRODUCTION all units cost decreased by 1 ipc (can be combined with improved shipyards) LEND/LEASE you can move or attack with any allied troops that are in your territory that did not moved on their turn, A-BOMB nuclear bomb can be purchased for 25 ipc's (requieres long range aircraft + heavy bombers) bomber can only fly 4 spaces, only 1 a-bomb can be dropped per ally turn causing 20 ipcs of damage to defending units. production lowered -2 ipc's for 2 turns

Hey - glad you like the charts and thanks for the feedback! The charts themselves are the same rules from AA50th (before making the heavy bombers weaker), it's the fact that they've been divided down that's the difference. Some of what you suggest I have similar rules for in the expansion file listed by the charts. cool
