Dominion Boards.pdf (6.91 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
These boards / mats provide placeholders for the various cards used in Dominion. They include almost everything needed for play up to Cornucopia. I only included the cards that I would use all the time. Cards like Black Market will still require a separate pile.
Page 1 is the Kingdom card mat. It allows for 10 Kingdom Card placements.
Page 2 provides placements for the treasure, victory, curse, and trash cards.
Page 3 is a player mat. I created it to help deck building game noobs learn how to play. On this mat I've also included the turn order instructions.
These pages are meant to be printed on B size (11" x 17") paper. A local copy place can do this nicely using a color laser printer fairly inexpensively. Note - the player mat (page 3) will need to be printed multiple times for the number of players who need them.

I very much like the whole layout and style, thank you very much.

Maybe a fourth mat, with places for the "not every game stuff," like victory coins, embargo tokens, Prize pile, Bane cards, Black Market cards, and Potions.

Malcolm - you bring up a good point. As Alchemy is the only expansion I don't have it didn't occur to me to include potions. On the flip side I intended these mats to be used for only those cards that I use in every game. Black Market, for example, requires an extra stack of kingdom cards but is not used in every game. Then again, I suppose you could say the same for curse cards though and I did include those. hmm.... Might have to rethink that a bit. Correct me if I'm wrong but Potions wouldnt necessarily be used in every game?
I think Paul's suggestion is very good and I'll include that in the next version. Perhaps even add some placeholders for future expansions... just in case.
From a space perspective I do hesitate to create another board. These boards / mats are 11 x 17 and together already take up quite a bit of a large table. One more board and I might have to put the leaf in my dining room table.
Anyway, thanks for the input guys. It got me thinking more about the next version.

First, I want to say that I seriously dig the mats that you've created, Burrito.

Potions would only be necessary when playing with Kingdom cards from Alchemy whose cost contains a potion. Though you're right that this means you wouldn't need them for every game, the same would apply to Platinum and Colony cards, if adhering to the rule that these are only in play if using Kingdom cards from Prosperity.

I was also wondering about the possibility of fitting the mats into a letter size format so that it might be possible to print at home, simply because I have a whole lot of 8.5x11 photo paper that I otherwise have no use for

Hi Alexander,
First off, thanks for the comment.

As to your comment about the page size...
I actually considered letter size knowing that for most people (including myself) it would be easier to print. After some various layouts I landed on the mat layouts and size you've seen. My reasoning is probably apparent but I'll mention it anyway. I wanted all of the Kingdom Cards on one "board". As it turns out the other cards fit on the same size as well. Anyway, I also chose 11 x 17 because it is twice the size of letter (8.5 x 11). This would allow someone like yourself to print half of each board on letter size and perhaps tape them together. Printing half of each board might be easy or difficult depending of the software you own but GIMP (free) or Photoshop can easily split these in half.
I hope that helps.
Thanks again.

I agree these are very nice. But I also agree they are a bit large.

I was thinking if you turned the cards 90 degrees, you should be able to get 4 rows of 4 piles allowing space for additional piles like Black Market and Potions or whatever.

If you did this same thing with the existing layout, you could make the size more compact for the existing three mats and still have a fourth in the same area. Just some thoughts.

These mats are beautiful though. Thinking I need to get some 11X17 photo paper and some laminate sheets.
