I downloaded to my ipad using Dropbox, an app in the App store. I put dropbox on my main computer, then save the file to dropbox, and I can access through my ipad.
Easier way to get it to your iPad is to e-mail it to yourself (I sent to my Gmail account) and access your e-mail from the iPad. You should be able to open it easily from there.
