It is possible, sure. I'll see if I can do it in the next week.

LOL! Now that would take a triple weather deck with winds around 300 km/h in the least. Shouldn't we try with Elysium first?

Intriguing idea indeed...

Loved to play this! Actually we now play it most of the time instead of the original board.

There's just one fault: The really good weather (-1 on movement) is nowhere in force. There should be a white mark around the altimeter on any height, I guess?!

Plus: We made avalanche days a bit more difficult by setting the second day up to 7000 instead of 6000. Makes it a bit more difficult (and otherwise it has been just too easy on the right route)

Again: Loved this board! Really great work!

The really good weather is valid at all heights across the board just like the regular good weather.

Interesting, I will try this myself.

Thanks!

Amazing! Great detail & they actually did climb that right side!
Great job! Thank you so much for this!

I'm inspired to make the other side of the mountain with the other route known as "Steps" However this one is hard enough, but I wish the Avalanche would be more realistic, maybe pushing a climber down the mountain 1 space if they are caught in the path.

Anyways great job, and thanks for making this! thumbsup

Update: Me & some friends managed to play this 2 times and a few issues came up.

One is, that the left side is too difficult to pose as a good possibility, Almost all of us split our forces to tackle both sides, but having such early acclimatization penalty on the left side & so many 3 move steps, made it very difficult to survive the trek, especially since there are no good tent setting spots. (earliest is V.5, and 9 move from V.7)
where on the right side, there's a premium spot at V.6 (3 away from V.7)
The Avalanche is just not threatening enough, even if you play with our house rules where climbers hit by avalanche, go back down the mountain by 1 space, AND they cannot move during that day.

I think 3 changes/additions could be made to make to more balanced.

Players caught in avalanche get pushed back, (down mountain.) can't move during that turn, and the following turn they take a risk token, after the fastest player chooses his. (if more than 1 player, then up to 3 tokens are taken, starting with fastest player, going down.)

Lastly, there should be a grace spot on the left board, possibly reducing acclimatization by 1 on the secondary V.5 spot, or lowering the movement by 1 on the first V.5 spot.

Those are my suggestions, however I still love this free PnP expansion, so thanks again for making it! thumbsup

Hi, Kamil

thank you for your comments, I'm glad you like Mt. Everest.

An interesting idea about avalanches, I will definitely try it out and after collecting and play testing all ideas I hope to release V.2 of the expansion.

Yes, the left side is difficult and I've changed it a few times before coming up with this setup. In playtesting we did manage to climb it successfuly with one climber while the other was in relative safety below 6.000m - but barely so. I will have a close look at the left side and possibly make some changes.

Thanks for your kind words and comments/ideas. Appreciated!

Best,
Jure
