Made myself some little cards a while ago to attempt to cut down on what is in my opinion the biggest issue with this game: setup time.
Essentially I divided the fiddly components up, putting everything needed for a 2 player Kungfro game into 2 bags. I then counted how many additional bits are needed for a 3 player game and put them in some bags. Then how many on top of the total 3 player components are needed for a 4 player game and so on.
I realise that all this essentially does is move the fiddly setup of bits from the start of the game while setting up to the end of the game as you pack up but it works a charm for me. I find that I'm a lot more motivated to put in the effort of putting everything back in the right spot when we're still in the post game "debrief" and excitedly talking about the successful (or in my case catastrophically poor) strategies employed. It was getting to the stage of us going to play a board game and deciding against Puerto Rico due to the required initial stuff around; for us at least these cards have helped no end in getting it back on our table.
I also added some reference cards to help me remember which ships and roles to use without having to break out the rule book (haven't committed them to memory yet).
Please give them a try and let me know if you have any ideas for improvements
