You must play on a really large table if you can fit these on in a portrait layout!

Regarding Government Reform, these aren't held, but discarded along with the unrest markers they remove.

Actually no, Alan. My table is quite small - a 4 x 2.5 coffee table. The mapboard sits in the middle, allowing an A4 sheet to be placed on either side. I also have room for seven A5 sized player mats to hold tiles and resource tokens.

It's amazing what you can cram into a small space, but then I'm playing solitaire most of the time. With many players, of course, I would have to use the dining table!

Although I don't feel the need for this myself, it's always nice to meet an enthusiast and the game certainly merits additional chrome in the play aid department.
I remain disappointed that it has never been 'deluxed' officially.

I have become an addict of devising play aids in one form or another and have uploaded files for numerous games over the years. For me, it's part of the pleasure of the hobby, that and compiling a narrative record of almost every game I play.

I have been looking up details on the upgraded Zeitalter der Vernunft (Age of Reason) and wonder if it's different enough from SoE to merit buying it.

What are your thoughts?

I've not seen hide nor hair of Age of Reason, but it appears to have removed many of the elements that add interest and game play to SoE.
