Dominion Indexed Card Boxes v2.zip (3.62 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This version includes boxes for all the cards for the Dominion and Intrigue games, including all of the base cards (correcting the issues with v1). This replaces the v1 download.

These boxes are designed with two tabs so that you can customize how you want to organize your decks. Just cut off the tab that is not needed. Solid lines are cut, broken lines are folded.

I recommend using Scor-Tape ( http://www.scor-pal.com) as the adhesive to put your boxes together. A 3/4 inch round punch to cut the thumb slot on the box opening. A bone folder for scoring and folding the box. And very sharp scissors designed for making fine cuts in paper. All of these items should be available at your local craft store.

Dominion Indexed Card Boxes v1.zip (1.50 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
So far I have created files for the Dominion Base cards and Dominion Kingdom cards. These boxes are designed for sleeveless Dominion card decks. Hopefully it will not take too long to create files for the other expansions. I have tried to incorporate the ideas and suggestions that I received on my earlier post. As with my earlier post I am still looking for feedback to try and make these boxes better.

I just noticed that only the Curse card box was included for the Base Cards, I will remedy this as soon as I can.

These boxes are designed with two tabs so that you can customize how you want to organize your decks. Just cut off the tab that is not needed. My boxes were designed to use Scor-Tape ( http://www.scor-pal.com). I hope to create a video to show the steps I use to make the boxes soon.

I strongly recommend you do not make individual boxes for every single card. This is going to be WAAAAY too much work for the amount of cards available in the Dominion series.

The dominion cards are thin/small enough that you can sleeve 10 of them together in one sleeve. Another option is to buy a box designed to hold trading cards. I have a 3600-card box that I made dividers for. I fit everything up to Prosperity in the one box.

As for the design of your boxes, looks like it will work. Will you be able to get the adhesive on the tiny flap, though?

Maybe I should have clarified, these are boxes for the individual decks of cards. The fact that there are so many decks is why I am designing/using this storage method. I am looking for a way to store all the Dominion cards including the expansions in the original box. I don't have the woodworking skills to produce some of the great designs that have been posted here, so this is the idea I came up with. My design is two fold: condensed storage in the original box, and organization for ease of use. Using the adhesive I described really makes this project relatively easy. I will try to get some pictures of the process and finished product to demonstrate this. Thanks for the comments.

I was thinking about a very similar concept just yesterday. However, you've upped the usability with the tabs for the names.

I must say though, that looking at the sample, the box is too busy. I know that the image and the text is to help with selecting decks to use for a game, but I think they are unnecessary on the box. I would instead use the randomizer cards (reading them) if I wanted to select a certain type of function.

So, I would suggest removing that information and leaving the tab. I would add to the tab the appropriate colour and cost, as I have found those tabs most appealing.

Could you make a blank one that I could try a few for myself?

GG for the great idea.

My understanding is that you are making one box for each supply of 10 cards. There are over 150 different cards in Dominion. That is a TON of little boxes to make.

I do think the box looks good, but the idea of making so many is daunting!

@Gastel
Thanks for the idea of color coding the boxes and putting the symbols on the tabs based off the expansion they are from, and the cost. This leads me to the question of order. In what order should the tabs be in. Alphabetic, Cost, or Expansion. The reason I added the Rule Clarification from the rule book so that you would have it handy vs. having to look it up from the rule book which could be a bit of a chore if you are using cards from multiple expansions.

@wizcreations
I definently know what you mean by there being a ton of little boxes to make. The benefit I have in that regard is that i only have the base and Intrigue at this time. I am thinking about designing the boxes now, but then making the boxes as I expand my collection. If i was looking at the entire collection I don't know if I would do it this way.

I would put the tab as Cost, Alphabetic (with colour code) and then Expansion. This seems to be the norm with most other divider files.

This allows you to sort them in any manner that you would like, but mimics the cards the closest.

Very cool. I wonder if you think it would be useful to make a 1-4 player starting hand box.
