Great work as usual - I hope you realise I'm not buying Mage Knight until you've finished your rules summary for it! whistle

Thanks so much for this! Your rules summaries are the best that exist!

Edit to point out that your title page shows the game as "A Touch of Evil"

I've already cut and laminated my play aids. They are just what I needed!

I noticed while the summaries and references mention Villains searching for artifacts, they nowhere state how. That is, roll the villain's search dice and collect a Danger marker (or Fortune if at a Temple) for each roll of 4+ and take a wound marker for each 1 rolled.

Under the cooperative rules regarding the villains searching for artifacts, it states that the artifact/adventure is discarded when a villain successfully finds it. I'm pretty sure you don't discard it. There are cards that allow you to steal an artifact from the villains. If you discard them, you won't have nothing to steal.

In the turn sequence.

Will check. Very confusingly laid out rules I thought!

Very nice work again.

I am at work so I can't check, but I believe that in the pure co-op game you do not have to return to your starting city to win the game. You win as soon as you have the necessary fortune.

Sadly I have a copy of the rules PDF at work so took a look. In the co-op game the heroes win as soon as they reach the group fortune amount. No need to be in their starting cities.

This is on page 25 in the co-op section.

Quote:
Temple Treasure pieces count as an Artifact when collected and will move the Villain Track as such (detailed below), however, the Artifact/Adventure cards do not remain and are simply discarded upon collection.

I guess they are discarded. We'd been playing that they keep them, like in the advanced rules, because of those cards that let you steal treasures.

BTW thanks again for all of your work on these, they really do come in handy.

Yes...page 25 states that you place the found artifacts near the villain sheet. They are not discarded.

Thanks so much.

I particularly appreciate the fact that you've done up two sets of rules: for competitive and for co-op. They are really two different games and I hate having to refer to one and have to look back at the other.

Artifacts are kept, Temple Treasure Artifacts are discarded. This is what it says in the rules and on my sheets. Remember the Cooperative game summary page is changes and additions to the Competitive rules, not all the rules on their own.
