I just took nicknotts' screen and shamelessly used the layout and text... improved the typographie a bit, updated the inserted image. Kudo's for the inspiration from nick's work!
I had no problem downloading, but I did have problems with saving this file. When saved to PDF and trying to open it in my drawing program, it does say the file is corrupt. Doing so with a photo-edit program will give a uncorrect transparent image. Though, printing directly from Adove Reader should probably work, but I wanted to fit two screens on one page and make the image a bit less ink consuming. Thank you for the nice screen! I think it will be very usefull for my first game.
Strange, but since (shame on me) I created the screen in Word and saved as .pdf from there I am not so surprised. However, opening the .pdf in Acrobat or Foxit and "printing" it via a virtual printer into an new .pdf usualy helps my similar problems. Try Bullzip, InFix or FreePDF, they are all nice and free.
If you only need to change the image - yeah, I admit it uses pretty much ink - try Gimp. I have no problem editing the .pdf as an image file in it.
Good luck and have a nice game, I am glad you like the screen. I will use it as soon I finish printing my dice. Still 130 faces to iron, grrrrrrr...
Hey man, thanks for the reply and tips. We had our first game and your screen was quite handy, not only for reference during the game, but also for explaning the game to the players. One tiny nit-picking thing: in the list of character states on the left it misses the 'Destroy raiders/rescue colonial ships' as unavailable action when brigged.
