This is a small list (in English) to remind a teaching-player the quick, essential points of the game. It covers win conditions, setup, and critical rules. This isn't a substitute for the rules, but rather bullet-point reminders to make teaching easier. This is for the 2007 edition.

I don't have the heart, nor do I have the crafty skill to paste-up my Event Cards. The same goes for creating the English cards that David Vander Ark submitted. However, since the Event Cards are always acted upon as soon as they are drawn and aren't secret, I decided to create a reference chart that could be used to translate the German cards on the spot. Using David's excellent translations, I worked out the relationship to the original cards with the assistance of an online translator and plunked them down into a chart that can be printed double-sided and laminated for a handy reference. The map and cards are based on the 2007 edition. The map is designed to fit on the back of the gameboard. The full map is 30in x 19in. The jpeg sections are formatted to print at 300dpi to give the correct size. Use the english translation of the 2007 edition to play.

In order to preserve the original formatting I did a mostly literal translation of the German rules. You may want to check out Dave VanderArk's English rules file as well because he adds many clarifying statements that I think are helpful.

This is a ZIP file of the cards in the file created by David Vander Ark for the translation of the action cards, each saved as an individual image file for use in creating custom decks using services like ArtsCow.com.
