Risk: 2210 A.D. rules in English, Version 2.0 This Word document contains all of the rules for playing the game with the recommended 3 or more players as outlined in the Official Rules booklet. The rules for a 2-player game are not included in this document but are contained in the official rule booklet that comes with the game. This document does not discuss how Risk-style combat works: it is assumed that the reader has played a game of regular RISK before. EDIT: version 2 simplified some of the language.

Art has been modified and some text has been changed. The Galaxy Commander should not be used with the standard game of Risk 2210 A.D. because its abilities and cards mostly involve interplanetary travel. See [filepage=30695]here[/filepage] for Matt Sklar's original Galaxy Commander and [filepage=30601]here[/filepage] for his rules to Galactic Risk. Resistance Commander is based on Matt Sklar's version of the Resistance Commander, with art and text changes. Here's an updated FAQ and Rules for the Commanders 2.5 expansion for Risk 2210. The cards themselves are still too large to be hosted here (26 MB), so they can be downloaded via this link: http://208.100.1.80/commanders_2.5.rar Included in this expansion are: • An upgraded official (Avalon Hill) Tech Commander expansion (new backs and graphics, 20 cards) • An upgraded official six Major cards expansion (new graphics, 6 cards) • The official 6 factions plus 3 additional factions from Geoff (new backs and icons, some rules clarifications, 9 cards) • An upgraded Commanders 2.0 expansion. Added new graphics, rules tweaks and spelling fixes for existing cards plus many totally new cards (87 cards). • Advanced Tech cards with backs, some with new graphics and rules clarifications (39 cards) • A revamped Global Warming card for Geoff’s Antarctica map expansion (I figured a Naval commander would be the first to know and report about rising ocean levels, 1 card) • An upgraded Risk 2210 player aid (reflects the new 2.0 commander abilities) • Energy cost templates and game markers All in all this will give you 160+ additional cards to play with. Print and cut them out, sleeve them (you can find correct size sleeves online and on eBay) and you're good to go.

Most games in the series are different enough from one another to be fundamentally different games-- and very good ones too. Risk 2210 seemed too much like a rehash of other games to me and so I made these rules to make the game play very differently than any other in the series and be a satisfying game. Comments welcome!

(I had originally intended to include this rule in version 2 when I designed the Galaxy commander, but didn't realise I'd left it out until now.) It also has two sets of rules. One plays more like a National Guard or Gendarmery and the other is based more on stationary, modern politicians.
