Disclaimer - I wanted to try playing Puerto Rico with my hubby instead of waiting for 3 or more players so I decided to combine the official Alea 2P variant with recommendations from the Fernori 2P variant from BGG. Play and winning is as per the original (not official variant) game rules for multi-players.
