This is an updated version of the file with some minor corrections and with nicer looking cards (well, they are not really nice, but at least they look like cards now).

The goal of this variant is to encourage more role-playing while paying less attention to point-scoring, or rather make those points less abstract. The general idea is that now in order to win you don't have to score Destiny or Story points, but to fulfill certain requirements associated with some way of life, which are described on your Fate Card. Please feel free to leave feedback or suggestions or point to any grammatical errors in this document - English is not my native language.

While doing android app (about which you can read here: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/684772/android-app-for-matrix-search-is-ready) for matrix search, I entered the entire encounter matrix to xls. I noticed it was requested in some forum, so I just saved them to pdf and post it here. Can be printed on 4 pages. The content is also copiable, so you can put the numbers into another format if you wish to do so.

I love the game, but found very tedious to browse through always encounter tables and matrixes, so I created an android app, which does the following - Inputs encounter table number and selected encounter table line, and based on that prints out what the player encountered. - From there, you can go to the matrix and select reaction, which will lead to the final matrix number. In order to do this, I entered the entire reaction matrix to comp (that was a real pain to do:) - App provides option to roll the line for encounter (pluses can be entered from 0-8), and also option for rolling the destiny die - Matrix view can be entered without having any encounters, as there are some cards which tells you to go directly to some encounter matrix. In this case you can select also the adjective from a drop down menu. Screens: [imageid=1059905][imageid=1059906] Have fun.

After playing a few games it was easier to use grid co-ordinates from the Merchant Board to cross-reference which goods were in which city; so here is the file with that instead. When you enter a city you can look up the goods on the merchant chart via coordinates. This made it easier for me at least!

PDF files of the rules, merchant board, tokens and a chart to say which goods are in which city. All hand typed, no original artwork etc. I have them as best as I can remember; please alter any mistakes!

I made this player-aid to help speed up the organization of the Skills Tiles. I threw in the Legend from the back of the Rules Book that explains the color code of the map locations. It is a strip about 16"x 2", which I mounted on two pieces of adhesive-backed floor tile connected by a tape hinge. This zip file has two PDFs. 2pc prints the image in two parts on a single 8.5x11" page. 1pc prints one continuous image, if you are able to print on 11x17" paper. I compiled it using various game artwork from pictures here on BGG--thanks to the original posters for saving me breaking out the camera.

Encounter charts in Russian v1.4

Tales of the Arabian Nights rules summary that I use to teach the game and to refresh my memory. Incorporates any clarifications from Z-Man's v1.0 FAQ.

This is my attempt to come up with a sticker sheet for myself for the minor errata for the 2009 edition of Tales of the Arabian Nights as described in: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/435656 The intent is to print this onto Avery removable full sheet label paper. Then you can safely cut it out and put it on the map, the Book of Tales, and the Reaction Matrix. Some of these are so minor that you may not want to use the whole image. Most people will only want the map fix. (I may only use the map fix myself. I have not decided, so this may be more than you need.) The image is 200 dpi, 9.56 in high by 8 inch wide. That should give proper sizing. Do not scale it. Let me know if I did not do it right.

Did you think to put your cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! card sleeves? And then what? Where do you put them now? There's no place inside box except for this tuckboxes that fit jut inside the box, keeping the original insert, while the cards are well protected inside those sleeves. Just print this PDF and cut along the edges and use double sided tape (I worked this to be the best method but YMMV) to put it all together.

My group made this for the 'storyteller' to avoid asking which skills they have to keep the mystery alive and keep things organized. In my group we love yelling NO SKILL but then we know what skills we are missing out on.

The Universal Head TALES OF THE ARABIAN NIGHTS Rules Summary & Encounter Charts v1 (Aug09). Double-sided rules summary and double-sided Encounter Chart reference sheet.

A four-page summary of all of the text from the Status Cards. I know that four-pages is a bit lengthy, but the text is transcribed nearly word-for-word from the cards. This summary is very useful for people who want to cruise the different effects without the hassle of flipping through the deck.

A more concise, highly-readable version of Encounter Tables 1-121, allowing others to look up the appropriate table in the Book of Tales. 8 pages (4 double-sided). I believe these are 100% correct despite having typed them in, but please feel free to notify me of needed changes. Version 1.1 includes errata for table 117, minor graphical error, and final corrections (to 33.2 and 75.2)

This is a replacement play mat. In addition to the information included on the normal play mat, it now includes a place to record victory goals, skill levels, and statuses. It's meant to be printed in landscape mode on standard letter sized paper. The idea is to laminate it when printed and use wet-erase markers, however it will work fine if used with a pencil so recorded items can be erased so the sheet can be reused. The Destiny & Story tracks are designed to use the included D/S counters -- just flip them over so the number side is down. Use one counter to track 1 - 9 then add a second counter to mark the 10s place. The players sex token is designed to fit over the recorded Victory Goals as well. In the future I plan to squeeze in a Wealth track if possible and include a printable cover for the Victory Goals area so wet-erase markers won't damage the token sitting on top of it (in case that is even possible, the fake linen covering is pretty darn thick). Finally, the big white gab in the middle is in case someone doesn't want the two sections attached, they can cut down the middle and have perfectly sized surrounding boarders. Feedback appreciated!

Print and assemble dials for each character, turn the face to choose Destiny and Story goals. This version includes pages to print on the back of the dial backs that include the specific character names. Based on the concept discussed in threads here and initially developed by ghostOfChristmas.
